It's Thursday! That means that the weekend is just around the corner. Yay! I was really sore this morning. Strength training is tough work. I think I should incorporate more strength training in my workout.

It's getting harder and harder to update this post everyday. Keeping track of calories everyday is hard work. This morning I went back to the gym. I decided to do some strength training instead of doing cardio. It was tough work and I am definitely going to be sore.

The painting is done for at least one of the two rooms. I have to say, the color is pretty bright. It's called Brilliant Sea from Behr. But all the other stuff that goes in the room should pull down the brightness of the room. The other room is halfway done. It's a very light grey color. After much thought, I have finally decided that the bottom will also be a light grey color with a white and yellow stencil pattern. I will post some pictures when both the rooms are done and cleaned out.

This morning, I went back to the gym with my friend to continue our fitness routine. I ran on the treadmill for 25 minutes. I had planned on going back to the gym in the evening to do this class called Indo Row. It looked kinda cool, but I was too tired by the time I got out of work, that I just went home. Maybe I will try it another day.

Here is my workout for today:
25 minutes on the treadmill - 1.6 miles - 160 Calories

Day 29 - Sunday, February 24, 2013

Most of today was spent on painting. I did manage to get to the gym and run on the treadmill for a little bit. I was also very excited to receive the fabric I ordered. It looks very pretty.


For dinner, I went to the local mexican restaurant. I was craving some cheesy, crunchy tacos. I made a mistake when ordering and told the waiter to add some veggies in there - like onions and peppers. When the food came out, I was very disappointed to see that it was looking particularly healthy. Even if I wanted to take a break from the diet for a night, I couldn't. By the end of the night, I was actually feeling good that I didn't splurge on the dinner.

It's finally the weekend. I have been looking forward to a day off. I think the plan for today is to get some painting done. I would also like to get some time in the gym at some point. Other than that, I would just like to clean up my place a little bit and maybe make some food that I can use next week.

It was -1 degrees this morning. I still stuck to the plan. I got up and went to the gym with my friend. It was very hard to do. But I am proud of myself. The treadmill at the gym was giving me a hard time, so I tried something new. The stair stepper machine. My thighs hurt from the workout. Ugh. But I am happy I got through it.

I am trying out a new thing starting today. I have troubles getting to the gym everyday. Most days I am too tired after work to get to the gym. So a friend and I decided to go to the gym together in the mornings. That way we will keep each other in check. It is hard waking up at 6:30 to get to the gym by 7:00. But I think I will get used to it and it will also force me to go to bed early. After my work out this morning, I felt refreshed and energetic. So I am going to try to keep this up.

Day 21 - Saturday, February 16, 2013

I had a very busy day today. First, I went to the public library and picked up a few books that I needed   as well as tax forms for the year. Next I went to Trader Joe's and bought a ton of low calorie frozen meals. After getting some of the chores out of the way, I was able to go to a Vietnamese New Year's celebration. One of my friends was going to do a dance and I went to go see it. The programs were all announced in Vietnamese so I had no idea what was going on. All the girls there were dressed in very colorful dresses. It was fun to see my friend dance. There was also a fashion show at the end where the girls modeled their outfits. It was pretty cool. Later in the evening, I also went to a Roller Derby match. One of my friends is a blocker on the team. There was a lot of people there. I took some pictures that didn't turn out all that great.
