Day 81 - Wednesday, April 17, 2013

It was raining and hailing all day. It was such a grey day. I just wanted to stay home :( My friend cancelled our workout this morning. So maybe I will try to run on the treadmill at home after work. I think I would like to make more progress on my move tonight.

Day 79 - Monday, April 15, 2013

Monday morning....Back to work. My mom, grandma and dad went back home this morning. My mom  had stayed with me for a week. It was a great week. I loved that there was someone at home when I went back. I loved all the shopping trips we took. My mom made all sorts of food that was delicious. It was great and I am looking forward to her next visit.

I went to the gym this morning with my friend. We did weights. I am a little sore.

Day 78 - Sunday, April 14, 2013

Today is Tamil New Years! Puthandu Vazhthukkal! My mom made all sorts of food for the New Years. After celebrating at home, my mom and dad moved my gods to the new house. We celebrated some more in the new house. All in all, it was a great day. (Except for the freezing rain).
I tried some clothes that I got for my sister's wedding. It was hanging in the closet for a really long time. And I had worn it only once. So I thought I would try it on. Here is a little preview of a little part of the dress:

Update: My mom and I went to a local pizza place. The pizza was delicious. Later we went to the mall and went shopping until the mall finally closed at 9pm. It was a lot of fun.

It was snowing this morning :( So I decided to work from home. I was glad I got to spend the day with my mom. I sorted through my clothes and got rid of most of my clothes that I don't use very often. Overall, it was a very productive day.

Good Morning! It's Monday :( but it's going to be in the 60s today :) My sister finally went back home. But my mom and grandma are staying with me for a week. Yay! I had to cancel my workout for the day since my sister was leaving in the morning. But I have realized that I have really been slacking lately. I think I will reign it in more both on my diet and my workouts. I need to be more on tast if I am going to lose any more pounds in the next couple months.

Day 71 - Sunday, April 8, 2013

Today was a fun day that I got to spend with my sister, mom and grandma. We went to the local mall and shopped for a while. Didn't end up buying much but we definitely had a lot of fun. My mom bought me a purse. It looks so nice. It is definitely the most expensive purse I have had.

Oh, and my sister and I went to Old Navy yesterday for more shopping and found these winter coats for sale. I got 2 different ones. A green one and a purple one.They were only $9 each!!! It was such a good deal that I had to  buy it despite not having enough room in my closet for more coats.

Random thing..... My friend just returned from a business trip to Kazakhstan and brought back dark chocolates!


Another random thing...... I made this lemon granita a few days ago and I was able to serve some for my sister finally!

Day 70 - Saturday, April 6, 2013

My mom, grandma and sister are going to visit today. I am so excited. I cleaned my house and even made them a treat. I went grocery shopping and found these pineapples for sale. So I found a simple and easy recipe that would work well. I don't know what to call it, but it tastes very tropical. I added the recipe to my Recipes section.


The rest of the day consisted of waiting for my family to get in, moving some furniture and eating random things all day, followed by a visit to the local Indian Restaurant for dinner.

Breakfast:

Lunch:
My sister brought some Afghani food with her. It consisted of Rice, an Eggplant Side that was delicious and some Naan type dish.


Dinner:
Dinner at the Indian Restaurant was delicious as always.

Day 69 - Friday, April 5, 2013

It's Friday! My mom and grandma are coming to visit tomorrow :) I still got a lot of progress to make on my room before next weekend. If I work really hard, I might even finish the day bed before then. I didn't workout this morning :( Didn't get around to it. But hopefully I will work out both days this week to make up for this week.

Later in the day, it started snowing enough to stick to the ground. This winter does not want to leave what so ever.
